Sammendrag:
A pelt board (1) is disclosed as well as the use thereof for drying of tubular pelts (30), the pelt board (1)
having a tip end (3) from which the pelt is drawn onto the pelt board (1) and a foot end (2), the pelt board (1)
comprising two broad side surfaces (4a, 5a) each extending in the longitudinal direction (LD) of the pelt
board, the pelt board having at least one inlet (9) for receiving a flow of air and an air conducting
arrangement including openings (7) in said broad side surfaces (4a, 5a) of the pelt board connected to said
inlet for providing an air flow between the broad side surfaces (4a, 5a) and a pelt arranged on the pelt board,
wherein at least one of the broad side surfaces (4a, 5a) within at least a holding area are provided with a
plurality of protrusions (13), the protrusions being arranged in a staggered manner in the longitudinal
direction (LD) of the pelt board so as to deflect said air flow between the broad side surfaces and a tubular
pelt arranged on the pelt board from a flow path parallel to the longitudinal direction (LD) of the pelt board,
and wherein said holding area is positioned in the half part of the pelt board nearest the foot end thereof and
extends at least 25 cm, preferably at least 30 cm in the longitudinal direction of the pelt board.
